Welcome to the Ship Inn, Strensall
'Enter as strangers, leave as friends'
Irene, Martin and the crew welcome you to The Ship..
In the heart of the village of Strensall, sits The Ship, a feature of the village since the early 1900's and a much loved place by the locals & holidaymakers alike.
We are a family run, Great British pub, serving good food, real ales, fine wines & spirits. Families are more than welcome, but please be aware children must vacate the premises by 8pm. Well behaved dogs are always welcome, on the lead & on the floor!
We pride ourselves on the best local suppliers for all our ingredients where possible and all our food is homemade by our award winning chefs.
Since 2010 it has been Irene & Martin's aim to bring the pub back to the village and the village back into the pub.

'We are currently undergoing some major improvements and building work. We have adapted our menu to accommodate our lack of space available. But we’re sure there will still be something you fancy.
We are still using our usual local suppliers, the most noticeable change is ‘The Ship’s chips’ are gone temporarily! Instead we have what we think to be the best alternative... skinny fries! Food and bar opening times are exactly the same, so come pop in and see whats going on!
Please bear with us for the next few months while we get ‘ship-shape!’
